ectu’s Palermo, of course! Only this time around, we’re introducing an upgraded version of the Palermo. In this evolution of the Palermo, the signature silhouette of the original Palermo is the same, along with the full grain Italian leather treated for durability that you love, zip around closure, and generous main compartment. However, we’ve made a few improvements that will extend its versatility whether you tote the bag near or far.

Factory
Italy is world-renowned for their leather traditions and vegetable tanning practices, going back hundreds of years. Each time we receive our first sample from our Italian factories, we’re always left breathless. That’s why we’ve decided to now construct all Palermo pieces in Italy.
Clutching soft Italian leather in your hand is transcendent. You’ll agree when you receive the Palermo. Notice how the Palermo is assembled. The generations-old knowledge that has been passed down is evident in how the leather is joined and stitched together.
Leather
We now source exclusively from tanneries that are certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG). The LWG is an internationally recognized group that maintains and develops a protocol for sustainable environmental practices. All tanneries certified by LWG undergo rigorous on-site audits and must subscribe to using environmental resources such as water and energy responsibly.
When you receive your Palermo weekender, feel good knowing that the leather used to construct your bag was made at a factory dedicated to sustainability practices. The upgraded Palermo features luxury calfskin with even pebbling throughout and just the right amount of sheen to give it that glam factor. And as always, all our leather is treated with an extra coating for additional protection against everyday use.
Custom Gold-Plated Hardware
Just as the leather craftsmanship used to create your handbag was developed over many generations, so too will your weekender thrive for generations to come. We liken our handbags to a family bequest that will last many years. Appropriately, all the hardware that adorns your Palermo is now plated with real gold using the Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) process which chemically binds the gold metal finish to its metal base. This process ensures that the finish will not chip, corrode or fade over time.
In addition, the main lock is now made using the strongest metal base available - stainless steel. This conveys both beauty, function, and strength so that your weekender will handle everything you throw at it all weekend long.
Interior
We’ve also made modifications to the interior of the new Palermo to increase roominess for all your work and travel essentials. First off, the rear compartment is now dedicated to secure your laptop, thanks to a tab and zipper pocket for additional peace of mind.
The front compartment now includes two elastic open pockets. The depth of these pockets are certain to be roomy enough for various travel items, such as travel docs and passports, as well as work essentials.
